Default Critics' Choice

Writers Beat Staff Critics view some amazing work written by the members, and we thought it was about time you got the recognition you deserve! So we have come up with the ‘Critics choice’ competition.

Each month the staff critics will choose and vote on pieces of work that have been posted in the Rough Draft area. All members who are pariticpating actively in the community and critiquing other people's work will be considered.

The winning piece of work will be published in the following months publication of the Writer’s beat e-zine and all nominations will receive a mention and a link to their work.

IMPORTANT -If you do not wish to have your work considered for the contest, please note your posting ‘No Critics Choice’ at the end of the posted work.

Good Luck Everyone

True...yet there is some excellent writing. A piece of work need not be complete to show quality, style and expertise IM(humble)O. In the November's Critics choice we had complete pieces of work, but also just one chapter from a longer work. What do others think?

do you mean specifically in the free-writing forum, or for the competition? (sorry, I don't mean to be dense)

It's alright thicky, sometimes starpanda is just a little too slow to catch it. We're working on it though... poor thing... *shakes head*

The critiquing of any piece is done by the staff in their own private boards. If it were done through PMs, then we will still be critiquing October's contests.

And I agree with out humble chief--our judgment is based on the excellence and distinctive style of any writing.

ok...one more q then. I see that the ezine for the last issues has either omitted the official themed contest entries (december) or the critic's choice writings (jan). Was that on purpose, or are the deadlines to be blamed?

This is my first month here. Still getting used to it. :|

Well, that was our fault, and I assure you it will never happen again.

the critic's choice writings (jan)
I can't give you a complete answer and I don't want to slip anything, so I am sure starpanda has a better answer.
