Default free proofreading

Hello, I am a freelance proofreader and am in the process of expanding my résumé. I will proofread a chapter of anything you are currently writing at no charge. Materials should be no shorter than ten pages and no longer than thirty pages. I will return pages to you with corrections within 72 hours. I can indicate corrections either on Microsoft Word
using the Track Changes feature or on a hard copy. In exchange, I ask that you allow me to add your name and the title of your work to my résumé. I will not plagiarize your work or share it with anyone else. You can contact me at proofitforyou@gmail.com. I look forward to working with you!

I just want to recommend this service to everyone. I sent them a short story that I've been obsessing over for a contest I'm entering in next month and am really pleased with the results.

This user is very professional and found a lot of small errors that I know I would have missed otherwise. I was definitely suffering from over-editing to the point that I couldn't see the errors anymore.

The only thing they ask is that they be allowed to put your name and the title of your work on their resume, and spread the word if you're happy with their services. Once I go through and make the appropriate changes that they pointed out, I feel that I have a higher chance at doing well in my contest. This is a great opportunity for you to not only have a piece of your writing proofread for free, but help a new proofreader expand their resume. Win-win!

In other words, I'm very pleased with the results of having this user proofread my writing.

~Willow

Want to be put to the test? Pick a story at random off 'my writing' (in my signature line) and post the results here; I'll tell you if you got it right.

I put forward a positive note for this, having reviewed him.

Though he did make corrections where there are grey areas (such as ellipse formatting, and non-American English, etc.)

Would someone have a suggestion on proofreading and polishing up a manuscript for publishing?
