Hey-o. Cover looks spiffy, but that's about all I can say as I seem unable to open my downloaded copy. Problem could be on my end, could be not....

Oh, yah, why is it a rar? That should be a normal file...

I'll fix it.

edit: I get it, Cordatus couldn't upload a .pdf because I didn't setup the system to allow pdf's. Anyway, I fixed it.

Just had a scan. Looks good. Ever think about putting it into print and having a mailing service to members?

Well done to the staff that created it.

Thanks for the kind words, Taliesin. They're most appreciated.

Hakeem deserves a lot of praise because he made this issue all on his own. Thank you.

Apparently not. When I downloaded it with my Download Express program, I got a .wri (Wordpad) file with content like this:

‹

PS: Never mind. When I used my browser download, I finally got the .pdf file. Yesterday, my browser downloaded a .rar file through your link. Something is amiss with your download system.

I love the cover photo. Talk about a laid-back scene!

Yes, yesterday. The system didn't allow me to upload PDF files for some reason. Now Daniel fixed that glitch and everything is going smoothly.

Now, I wouldn't have been able to do it without a keen eyed editor and last minute illustrator, would I?

Do you two want to be left alone to wallow in your success?

I'm about to become the next co-editor of a magazine, but it's on a bigger scale than this, I've gotta get the big guns of poetry in on it or it will fail. You guys have a steady base, the outside world is rather fickle. But when I'm done with that if I'm not working on a cruise ship I'll gladly share any knowledge and contacts I've picked up. May even be able to get you into print, at least in the UK.

Anyhow, offer is there if you need it.

Oh wow, yes, that would be very interesting. I'm sure the staff and I would love to work something out with that offer. Thanks!

I also like the idea of having it mailed out to members, lol.

I think it looks really great.

Great work everyone on the wonderful job.

Thanks for your comments, Taliesin. Hakeem did a wonderful job. As for print, it's very expensive. I work in the publishing industry as well, and just to print 5,000 copies of the mag on glossy paper would cost close to $10,000. We could only do that if we had big-money advertisers. Hopefully that day will come, but we have to start somewhere, right?

Best,
Jillian

True, it's expensive but just as the e-zine will grow from a smal idea to a bigger one, so would a print magazine. Starting out on gloss is a big step, but I won't debate it. I said the offer is there if you need it in the future it's up to you wether you take it or not.
