The saying goes that there are only ever two stories in the world: man goes on a journey; or, a stranger comes to town. Either way, someone is traveling, driven to experience a new place or new people, finding themselves in a temporarily liminal state where their familiar social structures have fallen away, where old rules don't apply and new rules haven't been set yet, where consequences aren't clear and the notion of risk may be entirely askew. The unfamiliar can be seductive, too, and can make fertile ground for a hot story.
The tentatively titled "Tourists" is the first book from a brand new erotica imprint. We seek four novella-sized works (~15,000 words or above) centering on the theme of
being a tourist - perhaps being in flux, in perhaps unfamiliar settings, or perhaps with unfamiliar people. We're very interested in how
you would interpret the theme, however, whether that's literally or metaphorically. We seek stories that are - above all - hot, definitely compelling, difficult to put down. All manner of pairings are welcome, as are all expressions of sexuality, kink, and self-identity; we are queer-friendly and progressive. Above all else, however, we love character-driven fiction: literate, sensual, literary and sure-footed.
