Whilst the spell-check on 'Imperative' does wonders, I myself wonder, maybe , Old Guy, are you actually trying to start a theme based on that title? misspelled or not.
It's a title that sounds like something but means nothing when you actually think about it. Exclusions and 'Imperatives' rarely go together.
I'm not trying to break down any idea you have, but rephrasing common things like 'turmoil' or 'inner anguish' is not the core of a story.
It's like saying you have a story about Vendetta, but it's actually about contained rage, held, simmered and directed in a narrow focus to exact the pecieved justice of the person who wanted revenge. English isn't the most widly spoken language, but it has the largest vocab.
Sometimes, less is certainly more.
