Default Woah? Who's that? Just a nobody...

Hey everyone, I am so sorry that I have not shown my self in such a long time. I've been so involved with work recently that I literally have no other life than work. I just had three projects due the same weekend. I wasn't doing anything other than 18 hour work days!

Luckily I got some time to relax today, and I decided to say hello on Writer's Beat because I miss everyone!

Is everyone still around here? Is the community going okay? Do I need to buy anyone presents? Anyone want a book? I'll buy you a book. Seriously.

Hello, Daniel! Always good to hear from our Fearless Leader.

I think we're all taking very good care of WB so don't worry. And I don't want a present either, unless you can wrangle a Thank You button.

We're facing technical difficulties in configuring everything right now, and we need administrative backup to continue, so we regret to say the project of updating WB has been shelved for a while.

In the meantime, we would like to assure all our members that we remain dedicated to making WB one of the best and friendliest writing forums available, and we will continue in our efforts to keep WB a pleasant, helpful and enjoyable place for writers to gather, share their work, and just chat. *puts up hand* I came back! I haven't been here since 2007!

By the way, what happened to the genre pictures a small summaries? I liked those, or did they take too long to load?

Actually, management was shifted some time ago...

Therefore, the aforementioned are really not the owners anymore.

Tiny elves that live inside Writer's Beat. Whenever you press a button, the worker elves are the ones who drag the new screen out for you. Management elves are in charge, though--admins and moderators are just caretakers.

Silly NW! The elves don't own the workshop!

FYI, in case anyone is interested: Writer's Beat is one of a number of forums owned by Crowdgather. This page has the details.

Oh...didn't you hear, HoiLei? There was an elf uprising. Crowdgather sustained many losses and decided to just let the WB elves secede...

Thanks HoiLei...was just curious. Didn't mean to interrupt the elf party. Carry on.

Naw. Not scared. Amused, perhaps. Maybe curious. But scared? No.

Good, you almost made me think my dark writing/carving trajectory (Slaughter Catalogue 1993-2009) got you going. "Maybe curious" is understandable.

Nightwanderer, these tiny elves you speak of, are they related to 'der li'l elves in der Black Forest' ?
