Default I Apologize

to Maya, Gaines, Paco and ALL Staff Members for my unwarranted crap last night. I can tend to be calm as a bomb and conduct like mine is simply wrong. Sincerely, Jonathan

My apologies also if I came on a bit too strong. All is forgotten as far as I am concerned. Your apology shows courage and fortitude. It will not be overlooked by me.

Well, if you need any pointers on settling arguments the gentleman's way... how to fight a duel!

Pish-tush, let's hear no more of the incident Your apology, JRT, is greatly appreciated. It takes more strength to say "sorry" than it does to keep things going.

Raise your hand all who like happy endings You Poe types and the literary ones--you don't count.

'Tis forgiven. I was pretty damn confused for a while there! I'm glad it got settled before we came to machine-gun-punches. (And I did get a laugh out of your thinking that I was a big man...never thought I gave off that kind of aura.)

You guys had a flamewar without me? *Shabby.

I'm always impressed when somebody steps up and apologizes. *You don't see it much. *Because only wimps to it.

Kidding. *It's not easy and I hate it and I admire it.

Hmm, Peter . . . you must be at least 94% bored to labor your eyes though a thread that has nothing at all to do with you, but I would say more like 194% in light of your smart ass comment. How sad for you that you are so bored and lonely.

And, Lin, since you are always right - well at least never wrong - you never have to wimp up and apologize.

Actually? Did you miss the miss the thread on adverbs? Never, and that means never, use an adverb. It weakens the writing, actually.

Ooh, do I get a real apology now that I've been insulted too?

No. It would be a fake apology, not real, unlike the one above. Perhaps read Epictetus and you may realize that we can only insult ourselves - and thus when we do, we should apologize to ourselves.

And, Lin, I think you need to post one of your excellent video poems. Masterful in my opinion only.

I know that this has nothing to do with the thread, but reading the conversation was really interesting. Haha, and with closeknit all of you are, it really makes me even more curious of the wonders of this great site.

Sorry for buggin' you guys. hehe

Well, the posts here have long gone off thread, but the OP has no objection at all. The philosophy of Epictetus as apparenty summarized by Wikipedia contains far more than what is stated above, and I grew up in Georgia (from age 5-12) and I still can't rid my self of "y'all." Then again, I have no desire to do so. But, bringing it around, my apology as initially stated stands for those I identified, 100%.

Wikipedia is wrong on many things, but serves as a useful starting point most of the time.

I just want to say this thread amused me for three and a half minutes. Bravo That's three more than most forum posts on other sites.

We're writers--it's our natural inclination to write entertaining and interesting things whenever we put fingers to keyboard!
