You may have noticed I haven't been around much lately -- or maybe you haven't.
I was in the hospital until yesterday for geezer ailments. When you get old, your own body starts attacking you with potentially deadly germs that everyone normally has in their bowels, throat and elsewhere. They are kept in check by the immune system, but by my age the immune system is up to 60% weaker than it used to be.
Anywho, I'm eating anti-biotics like they were candy and I feel as weak as a baby. My doctor tells me I have to take it easy for the next month to recuperate from THREE related internal infections. So you won't be seeing much if anything from me until July.
As you may know, I hate doctors and I have a horror of hospitals, but I was impressed by the nurses I had for 6 days. I don't know how they do such an unpleasant job (I couldn't), but the ones I had did their best to be helpful in any way they could.
Especially Staci, a cute 30ish blonde. Her husband is on a submarine at sea for 6 months at a time while Staci is home alone. He's a damned fool in my opinion.
