Default Satire Suggestions?

Hi everyone,

I have to read a satire book of some kind for my English class, (actually I'm already supposed to have chosen...) and I thought I'd see if anyone around here had any suggestions. As far as I know there aren't really any restrictions - it just has to be satire. I was thinking of reading C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters.

Any suggestions?

haha I second that. Vonnegut was a very stragne, strange man. But apparently that works for writers

I'm not sure if this would officially qualify as satire, but if you can choose a play rather than a book, I'd suggest Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Absolutely fabulous.

"The Loved One" by Evelyn Waugh or "Animal Farm" by George Orwell.

Thanks everyone

Icarus: I'm not sure if I can do a play, but I might ask. I didn't have that class today so we'll see.
