Default Accent For A Robot in AD 2340

Dear All,

If in AD 2340, Microsoft were stiil around and populated the earth with robots, what accent would their Robots speak with?

Any suggestions are gratefully received. I need ideas for a story I am writing, and not being American I could easily get it wrong!

My first suggestion is:

"You have a message," she said with the same amiable, mid west American accent he had heard before.

Tarakan

I imagine that they'd speak with whatever accent you wanted them to, or with that weird talking clock voice...

Not sure about the accent, but the language would be a combination of Orwellian NewSpeak and oxymorons like "Microsoft Works."

I would think they would speak without one. Or maybe with the accent of the people around it. Robotic voices are getting more humanlike--maybe a programmable accent?

Check out movies like I Robot and other "robotic, future" movies.

Dear All,

If you saw my latest Tarquin Jenkins episode, you will have seen that I gave my robot 'Madge' Madonna's voice, and character.

So, thanks for all your suggestions!

Tarakan
