Awww shucks.

Thanks for that. Contests have a way of stimulating my creative juices, I thrive on competition so the notion of a prize is irrelevant. I suppose it would be a nice piece of icing, but I really compete for the fun of it.

Are you planning a winter one?

I'm not sure that's such a good idea - although I appreciate the gesture. If I were to provide the theme then that would sway the odds more in my favour (since I could simply pick a theme for whatever good stories I have sitting around rather than choosing a word that I have the think about).

Seriously, giving me the theme sways the odds to such a degree it would be no contest. I would be happy to let one of the runners-up choose it.

You would not be picking one, just sugesting one for The staff to consider (alongisde the sugestions we all have and some form a list of unused suggestions from the past). It's up to you.

Thanks Tau.

If it's all the same to you, I would nevertheless prefer to avoid making suggestions even. You see if it didn't influence your decision then it was pointless my suggesting, but if it does influence your decision then I have been given a distinct advantage.

Do you see what I'm getting at?

Why can't Max Crash or Michael D make a suggestion? They were the runners up.

Fair enough, if that is your preference.

So Max Crash and Michael D, any suggestions for a theme for the winter contest?

Hey Tau.

You really should pose that question to them in a thread in which they are active if you expect a response.

Probably, though I would expect them to read this thread as well. Anyway, if I have not heard anything in a couple of days I’ll send them a PM.

While I appreciate the offer, I respectfully bow out of the next contest.

He wasn't implying you had to take part in the contest, he was just hoping you might be able to suggest the next theme.

Never mind.

Well I guess I will just come up with a theme by myself then. Let me think...
