Hello, stuff follows: -

You can all be the nicest most helpful people on Dog's green earth, but when your UI is twenty years out of date you have two options: -

1) We can make money out of this. Let's update, expand and get that revenue in.
2) We cannot make the figures work. Let's keep things ticking over with our antiquated system and our current members.

Obviously I did not mention option 3) because it is the worst of all options: -

3) Dunno, Lets keep quiet, make no plans, and fuck knows.

Which is it?

Not only 20 years out of date, but broken even by those standards. I say you buy the place and make it pop.

("...naah, the only thing that counts are the posts themselves..." ventured the goblin who felt that if the reader could relate then it was good, though if that same reader could actually reply then it was just much better still, smiling "...all very simple, one keeps an eye on the hitcount to note one's readership, while keeping another eye on replies indicating whether one has made them think either by what one has written oneself or by the company one was offering...", meanwhile no end of snow just fell like a curtain, and that somewhere within the darkness out there santa lurked as if waiting for his chance to turn any passing human into a christmas shopping zombie, to the goblin just sighed "...naah, if I get into the spirit of things, then I just end up with things for my distraction, instead much too much is happening on the world stage now, and always it seems that they prepare their moves during the christmas period on through the new year, only to actually act in january or february...")

Haven't we been over this with you before?

Otherwise, yeah -- take on the project. I'm sure if you're persistent you can get in touch with owners and make them an offer -- and then you can do all the necessary work to update and promote the site.

Good luck!

Nah. We're just retro and ironic.

Only a hipster can dig it....

It's a place to meet those we relate to.
A place to show what we've woven with words, and get feed back through another's eyes. It's a place I like.

Truthfully, I like the place as it is now. We've gained some great new members who regularly contribute - I love Lockette and Luciaphile. Connie is a regular presence lately and I've got a real soft spot for her. I don't need the site itself to be whizzy.
Long as I've got Flea....

I like to repeat myself because, what is it Shakespeare said about people who feel they are unheard? "They prattle on like fucking self-important foghorns". You'll find the quote in Titus Nova Scotia.

Unfortunately I left my keys in my other car or something. Does that even relate to what I am saying? Perhaps, think about it, but do not waste too much time.

Is this about Miley Cyrus leaving America?

Well, she ended up staying.

Maybe she was spoiled by our luxuries?

I must say, I am looking forward to you discovering the other thread, which did make me chuckle a lot. I feel like an evil salesman, in that I am only mildly evil, and I really love the way you smile, kinda like a pretty donkey.

Donkeys have huge cocks... so, appropriate. Or at least flattering.

And why not turn this place over to the ad men. What would this world be without capitalism around every corner. That's the xmas spirit!

Feliz Navidad..now get the fuck to work on that wall...!

Why is this a recurring theme? I see no positive direction for this thread.
