Well... if I were hungry enough!

What I mean is, if I were someplace where people do eat dog, the way Americans eat chicken, then I wouldn't refuse to eat it out of some emotional attachment to Rover back home. My feelings for a family pet have no bearing on whether I can eat that species.

I don't know whether I could eat a family pet, though. I'm untested at that level of involvement.

Same here.

My parents have four sheep, who have names. The lambs that they will get from those 4 will be eaten, but the 'initial' sheep will stay alive.

That's how we started; with three bred back milking goats. All of the first set of bucklings were to be eaten...we still have "Mutton Chops" as a pet, but I drew the line there and all the others since then have gone in the freezer.

Maybe it was a free-form expression of the author.

It's a horse's ass? Apologies, then - personally mistook it for Lin.

Hey Lorry!

Yes, I'm taking a few days off and came back just to pop in and see how everyone's doing.

I like the green on you, by the way! It's very becoming.

Oh, hi SW, welcome back.
My picture has probably been buried quite dramatically, so here it goes again:

Whoa, cool picture.
I think your fiddle-holding technique is bit to innovative, though.

You seem to be looking the wrong way - and as Lin said, it's a weird way to hold a fiddle

I still haven't got one, sincerely. The last pic taken of me was at my bro's wedding. My daughter took some of me over Christmas and then deleted them. I think that tells you all you need to know...

Who in their right mind would want to see a pic of me anyway? Unless they had some kind of psychological issue....

There are no left-handed violins, Dela, unfortunately.

You can hold it like that, just on the other shoulder. They can't make a violin for left-handed people due to its inside structure.

But hey - that aside, I love the picture. Especially the beret/cap.

What do you mean still cute? Last time someone called me cute I killed a fictional version of them in my novel. (Great fun)

I know. I can't play. But I was holding it the best out of everyone (no joke). One held it upside down, and one held it like it was a puking baby. But Fiddler on the Roof was great fun, and I'm glad I got to play the fiddler for part of it, but much more enjoyed playing Lazar Wolf, clinking tavern metal mugs and acting drunk with a guy I was in that scene with. I had 5 other parts in that play, but Lazar was the best. And I was always on stage, which is just the way I like it
