I'll trade you; they are forecasting a metric buttload of snow for us tonight.

Oh, anyone in the snow-affected parts of the US? I've got a relative at the moment who's stuck there, haven't heard back from him in three days.

Most people who live in areas like these have contingency plans for power failure / closed roads etc. I wouldn't start to worry for at least a week. We would be alright for several years, we are nearly self-sufficient; we produce 100% of our power and heat and more than half of our food.

It seems a bit silent in here for a coffeeshop, even for the holidays. So lemme ask a question: what if the heavens would fall on our head one of these days?
See, somehow I've got a bad feeling about 2011. The digits just don't fit together, or something. Anyone else got this problem? =P

Can anyone please explain to me what this topic is about, exactly? It started with a nice food menu and ends with a drunken weather discussion between Aussies and Yankees?

@ Peigi: 2011 is a perfectly balanced year, especially in digits --> 2+0 = 1+1 See?

@Crool: It's a bar. I don't see the lack of logic in the course of conversation =P
And it would be balanced if it was 2110 or something. 2011 = yellow + gray. It's just not nice. I dislike 2011.

I'm not sure whether to dislike or like 2011 yet. I just hope it will be better than 2010.. 2010 really wasn't a fun year.

and what's with the yellow and gray? I like gray

Oh, that's just my slight synesthesia popping up ^^ 2 is yellow, 0 is white or see-through (adapting the colour of the number next to it, in this case), so the 20 part is yellowish. Then 11 is gray, like a stale and misty autumn day. I just don't like that combination...

I did like 2010, though. I guess it's different for everyone =P My 2011 started on a wonderful note, though. So now I'm confused about this year.

Ah well, I'll just see what it brings ^^

Synethesia is something that I find fascinating and would really like to experience although I'm multi-colourblind, so it might have strange results

Synesthesia can take other forms, you know =P You could smell a colour or taste a sound, for example I don't have that (I only see colours for most days of the week, months of the year, numbers and letters of the alphabet )

That is true. Kinda forgot that as I posted. I wonder if being able to smell colours would be affected by colourblindness? Or rather, the perception of colours caused by colourblindness. It would be interesting to be able to tell colours apart by smell but not sight.

Perhaps such a thing exists, but those people aren't aware they are smelling colours because they can't see them... o.O *paradox*

When I was four and five, I would react violently to the color pink. I would become extremely nauseous and start puking. When I was six, the effect lessened, and by age nine it was gone.

GEEZ= Oh my gosh. Haha, so I was watching a video on youtube, *karate kick*, 3 am in the morning, of course. I thought it was my first time watching it, so my eyes were in deep viewing mode, obviously, from lack of sleep. So yeah, after the video was over, I strolled down because I had to "comment", but then, I saw that a commenter wrote the same thing I was going to write. So I moved my mousey mouse over to the thumbs up button *click* and was like woah that's weird. And, on my way to still make a "comment", in my view was the comment I just likey liked. I read the name and I realized that it was ME. o.O

Okay, I'm embarrassed. Shocked. O.O
For one, who does that?
Two, why... how is that even possible?
Three, since it's like available on youtube, why can't or couldn't we have the same malfunction happen here with the thanks button.
I wouldn't mind thanking my own post, for sarcastic purposes, of course.

Blah blah blah, ignore this post.
hmm...

you come to this thread to chit-chat with other writers?
that sounds fun...
I'm new here and already introduced myself in the intros thread D;
I'm not used to forums with so many people... who aren't all anon. I didn't just admit to creeping 4chan.
Anyway, what are we talking about?

Yah Lad, and we suppose to order things like chunky creamed coffee or something like that. I'm not a big big drinker when it comes to those things though.

*BOOM* yes, that was an explosion.

I have it in spades. Particularly the 'seeing sounds' kind. It really enhances my musical experiences!
I'd like to research it further too.

Anyone watch the Oscars? Someone dropped the F-bomb in their speach. Live TV. No bleeping.
