Default Oceans of oceans

There are oceans of oceans and mountains of seas.
Rivers of madness -- and storms of mystery.
The flower of devotion -- we saw it wither and die
Now she cries for creation -- from her throne in the sky

Chorus:
Down like imploding towers -- in the final hours -- beyond the night.
Ascend now from the deep -- from eternal sleep -- shrouded in light.

Hope will drift down like ashes -- from the fires of existence --
there will be no regrets -- there can be no resistance.
Will you beg for salvation -- will you rejoice in the end --
when Earth collides with the sun, and the last of the stars descend?

Here's the song:

Turn the drums down and the bass up. Then repost.

Try this one -- I may have turned the drums down too much:

Better. This reminds me of an Echo and the Bunnymen thing. Yeah, they were big Doors fans.

I really like how you build something with the parts that is bigger than their sum. That’s a good skill. I think you e found your vocal range here. Originally I wanted to hear you sing higher, but I think you should stay here. You sound cool and it works for you.

Heh. Yeah -- I'm a big Echo and the Bunnyman fan. Ocean Rain is a favorite.

They recorded at least one song with Ray Manzerik -- who I think was fucking amazing.

Yeah -- I did a final chorus and I was belting at a higher range -- I scrapped it. Now I just need to work on my voice not sounding different on every song.

Thanks for the listen.

I think of you had your drummer and bass player do a version of this it would hit a new level.

I think in this range it sounds like you. The last song you posted with the “swagger” was in this range—all you.

It’s like the Chris Isaac range. Good stuff.

I know you’re out of the market, but the ladies love that shit. That, and the falsetto opposite. Fucking ladies😀

Heh. The thing that's hard is not going Bowie or Jim Morrison. It's like I have to fight it. It's this thing that happens in the back of your throat.

Maybe I should get some tips from that guy who used to post here -- the prognosticator who sings better and lower than Johnny Cash.
