Read and listen to Gil Scott-Herron if you already haven't. His words are transcendent and he knows exactly how to pace it for effect. Dudes a badass

Beesauce, is this a poem you've written? I mean, is it really a poem?

Oh, you know you're right about something without having even said it there Lucia.
The second draft will be 100% phallic and not a gun but yes, a penis filled with STI's and no condom

This comment is not a poem, but eh, Lucia glad your back im interested in reading more of your stuff, nobody else wants to write about their dreams around here -- But yours are interesting enough --

Watermelon Song
Did they give you a printed copy when it was published in the 70's? Internet wasn't here yet, so, it's got to be in a library database somewhere.. I just haven't gotten to the library yet, its super important to know if it was really published, because you would win a very special prize, and I'm being serious to an honor of the highest degree. Watermelons i found in dreams are "the voice of god" but I've never dreamed of watermelons, I just like to eat them every summer. It's a lovely poem, tell me did you really get it published?

How does it go:
Open me open me..

I thinks when we all reach the truth and know the secret, we all become a bit of that

Beesauce, thanks for your comment. I do have copies of Rocky Mountain Review. It was a small literary magazine, I think pretty well received in its time, though you might have to find a big library to find any mention of it, I don't know. I had a second, third and fourth poem published with them.

Watermelon Song wasn't a dream, just a lucky metaphor for making love, I think. Ha.

When we are able to be our true selves, we find that everyone has a piece of someone else's soul mate qualities -- for the most part and always depending from culture to culture.

Stardust we are you know?
