Grateful that, out of all the eternal endless eons of all-being and all-knowing that we must endure away from this world, that occasionally we get to come visit.

Grateful I have made it through the day to this Wednesday evening without any life impairing events having been visited upon this mortal vehicle.

That should be interesting.

Got it to keep running long enough to drive it out of one bay into another and onto the lift.

I popped the hubcaps, wheels and drums.

Lotsa rust on this one. The owner let it sit out for two years. My boss says the underside looks like it was parked over a sprinkler. Ha.

The gas tank filler cap is reached by reaching down between driver legs when seated.
Smoking not recommended.

That brings back memories. I learned to drive at eleven years of age in a 1957 Chevy pickup, while my brother and I helped my dad restore it.

I'm grateful I had that experience of restoring and driving. It served me well during the next seven or eight old Chevies I rebuilt (a '46 flatbed, two five-window '48s, a '60, then a '63 GMC 1-ton dually, then a '66, then a '65, then a '56 5-ton. Somewhere in there were my first wife's '65 panel, and my dad's '69, and his '70 GMC - I took a liking to them at an early age).
