Default Living Long But Shackled

A twenty-one-year old, who strongly believes his or her country, enlists in the military. The soldier knows beforehand he or she has made a risky move and is indeed killed in a battle -- does that make him or her "stupid." Though the person's life span on earth had been considerably shortened by his or her own decision, at least, the person lived and died freely. Can a person who believes in his or her country but is afraid to die young make the same claim? Of course not. The scared person's own fear is preventing him or her from living and dying freely. Therefore, even though the person may live to one-hundred, the person will have lived a life shackled to fear. Does the idiot agree or disagree?
