What is your perception of God, Nacia?

I mean, do you believe there is a creative force, energy, universal intelligence, force of nature, force of good or evil...something outside of ourselves?

You do't have to subscribe to the Christian/Catholic interpretation of God...do you have some sense of something other?

Smiley face required to illustrate a friendly, enquiry...voila

And yours Grace? You must believe in ... things that do not exist?

Yes, I do Chin but I genuinely don't know how to capture it with language.

Nor can I defend a belief system without shape or boundary. Best I can offer is that I have an overtly empathetic nature - I feel things acutely and I respond to nature and intuition. Strong sense that sometimes my thoughts are the flowing tributaries of something far greater than me.

No, I'm not stoned.

What about you?

Grace, I hope you will take my opinion in the nicest possible way, and choose to berate (rather than ignore) me when I say bull shit? But Bull shit. There just aren't, none nada, nonsense. Just facts and nonsense, you gotta choose one.

More than happy with your call of bovine excrement.

Thing is - you're not me. And no, I wouldn't try to convince anyone else of what I think or feel....

there's only me living on planet Grace

Well...only on a full moon when the voice in my head demands the sacrifice of a virgin to guarantee a good harvest.

But it is a strange placebo. You could replace it with Promax for a similar result.

I see the choice of indoctrinate - because of the common understanding that if you use indoctrinate, your teaching must be harsh, and of course false.

Parents absolutely have the right to bring up their children in their faith. It's the parents duty to share - and to show by example - what they believe in.

Wrong. You can defend a belief. I can defend my faith all day long. If you are asking if I can provide some tangible evidence - not always, but I and others defend our faiths.

Can I trot out a trite old comment: "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence"

If you say to me, I am religious, it is good for me, I like it; then I will defend you against any militant atheist who tries to unpick that belief.

If you say to me, my religion is true and factual, then I will unpick your stitches.

Actually, I changed my mind, I defend you either way as long as you do not impose your opinions on others. We learn and grow.
