Default Spoken vs. Read

Do you feel the quality of a poem changes from when you read it to yourself and when you hear it read by the author?

I apologize for the quality of the spoken poem, which you can find here

The mountains do catch
the light of the sun
and in shadows
it shall create
a world below
which will never know
the suns bright light and heat

Default

I love hearing poems read out by the author, they inject true emotions into the words and bring it to life literally.
