i'm just a girl
.......................dreaming at the edge of sound
flirting with
a prince
.......................consumed
in the silence
.......................by glitter kisses
and wishes
.......................and the happy ever afters
hidden in
desires
.......................of wistful promises

Yeah stuck in on a Saturday night with a stinking cold, all alone so I thought I’d pop by to say hi. Been a busy butterfly what with moving and new job and stuff. I’m a country girl now, what with owls screeching and creatures scurrying around in the undergrowth man the country’s a scary place for an urban girl.

As for lowercase i – well there’s no simple answer, or rather there’s more than one answer.

Stands for, in a twisted Drew way: internet.

A reflection of the fact that I don’t use punctuation. The only time I would use capitals is to separate a proper noun from a noun to avoid confusion. For example Boots the chemist as opposed to boots that you wear.

When I started out I thought it might help me stand out from the crowd a little.

And I love Apple. Always had Apple

Hello Drew. Lovely to see your avatar. Sorry about the cold. Have you followed the prince out to the countryside? Hmm... that could be a fairy tale or the beginning of an American horror film. Hope it’s the former.

Good to see you around, Drew. Poetry isn't the same without you.

Thanks guys

Nacia – Apple = Apple computers

Brian – Cold almost better, very rare for me to get a cold. No prince as they’re all bastards.

Proddy – Bless you.

Chat – Nothing wrong in depressing work. I would like to get mine a bit darker and deeper.

So glad you like my read it three ways poem
