Haha! Bailey is famous! Figured it was him but I checked the image credits to be sure.

I'm estatic, but also very annoyed - I've this work thing I'm giving to a client tomorrow, and I've not started, and this just came out. Teasers.

Just a note: I was browsing through and immediately recognised the image on page 33 as a famous portrait ("Boy Pointing Gun", circa 50's from New York) by Klein. I checked your references, and I assume you got it from a person on Flickr? There are quite a few digital copies on Flickr which I can assure you are not legal. William Klein's still alive and I believe still possesses full copyright over his images.

I doubt anything big's going to happen, but I'm curious as to how the staff came to deciding on using that picture and where you got it from (under a license, etc).

Unbelievable issue, ladies and gents. There are paying markets that look amateurish beside this one. WBQ is incredible, guys, seriously.

I didn't know we had anything like this but I just looked through it via Redlorry's blog. Very cool!

Actually, the person on Flickr (J. Scott 2) mentioned it was from a work by William Klein, but nevertheless put it under a CC Attribution license (see the download page here). We didn't know much about either person, so we credited both.

However, if J. Scott 2 on Flickr was using it illegally, we can change it in the zine. Better safe than sorry, and it's important to respect the copyright.

I'll discuss it with our Art Director. Thanks for the heads up!

I doubt that the person has any rights to the image, so they can't legally put it under a CC. Not sure about the actual image, but I doubt it is - it was one of his esteemed works. I'd change it if I were you, if it's possible.

Yes, that's what we decided. I'll do it when I get home tonight, so the new one should be up tomorrow at latest. Thanks, SW!

I liked the bit about me.

Is it like totally arrogant to point that out, even if it's true?
