Icon10 I finally got approved!

Hello everyone! I'm Aurora. I finally got the email saying that I got approved to be part of this site. How is everyone doing? I'm honestly not sure if I'm going to fit in, considering that I only write nonfiction. Also, I'm only a blogger.

I just read the forum rules and I didn't realize that it was so short.

I pretty much only write non-fiction, too and hell, they made me a Mod.

So don't worry about fitting in.

Hello fellow blogger.

I write two blogs, or more accurately, I ghost write them for corporate clients.

Welcome to the forum!

Hello to you, Aurora.

I've quoted your pithy intro so I could comment on part of it.

((Hello everyone! I'm Aurora. I finally got the email saying that I got approved to be part of this site. How is everyone doing? I'm honestly not sure if I'm going to fit in, considering that I only write nonfiction. Also, I'm only a blogger. ))

Getting approval is great and sometimes hard to get... So you should feel good now.

Of course you will fit in. Consider that the distance between nonfiction and fiction has almost disappeared with time.

To quote you: "I'm only a blogger." Why use "only"? Why degrade blogging? I read many blogs and get a lot from them. Especially when they invoke emotional responses. You should be proud of your work.

But you are right about WB in that fiction writers far out number non fiction writers on WB. And if you share your work in the Non Fiction Forum, you will have decreased the number of responses you'll get because fewer members go there. That's my take on the membership.

Also, if you post in the Fiction Forum, you are in essense, publishing it. However, the Members Only Forum protects your literary rights.

So, my suggestion to you is to use the Members Only Forum for everything you want to share...

Having said all that, I'd like to welcome you to the WB and our motley crew! You picked a good site to grow in.

Have a nice writing day.
