Default movie love scenes - the best and worst

and two more categories - did they actually do it? and, best movie kiss.

5 entries for each category seems fair. give your reasons as fully or as briefly as you like.

feel free to back up your contenders with youtube links - suitable content warnings at the ready

will be interesting to see if there are many repeats. or in fact, any.

If Marty McFly had of kissed Dr Emmett Brown in Back to the Future II that would have to be the winner for me, the sexual tension was there, but alas, no kiss...

excellent! this is a great piece of movie 'whatif', pickledick. I can actually picture them folded over the bonnet of the delorean ...

back to celluloid reality ...

this is apparently the hawtest kiss ev-a, according to the ladeeez. I get it ... who doesn't want to be slammed against a wall by timothy oliphant? plus there's all that eye acting and such. yeah, I rate it

and here's one for the chaps. this one snaffled an award or two for best movie snog of the year. to explain the intensity (and it is INTENSE), they're soulmates, who haven't seen each other for 4 years, and one has a wife watching

KIDDY ALERT ON THIS ONE. MA15+ for the 'taboo'. oy vay.

Did Whoopi Goldberg kiss Jack in Jumpin Jack Flash?

That or

Mr and Mrs Chips in the 1939 Goodbye Mr Chips are my favourite love stories.

Rupert Everett and Colin Firth in St Trinian's the reboot also score highly.

I so don't watch romantic movies.

Benedick and Beatrix (Emma Thompson. and Kenneth Branagh in Much Ado About Nothing) but then I find Emma Thompson and her mother Phyllida Law sexy no matter what they do.

Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing - I think that was my first movie with some sex in it. Roadhouse was my first with nudity again with Patrick Swayze.

funny you should mention "roadhouse". it's one of the (surprisingly many) flicks in which the sex wasn't simulated, according to hollywood lore. naughty pat !

edited to add, ditto. on the romantic flicks. yucky.

Last thing I watched was Woman in Black and spent the entire moving trying to decide if finding Harry Potter sexy would get me arrested by the Ministry of Magic.

I don't know this flick! must check .. now ...

on HP meantime, it's totally legal these days. he's all growed up, innit. besides, I have slight thing for Rupert Grint, so you're in good company

righto, just watched trailer.

victorian gothic ... I loves it!!

and little danny r does look rather fetching as a 19thc gent, even for a fairly ordinary looking bloke. was it scary? the movie, not danny in a frock coat.

If you like traditional Hammer Horror like the original Village of the Dammed then yes it was scary.

The best? Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland in Don't Look Now. The intensity and the way it's intercut with scenes of them getting ready to go out just blew me away when I first saw it.

Did they actually do it? Well, that's the subject of some debate. Just look at Donald Sutherland's smile at the end and tell me what you think.

Mmm Timothy Olyphant - Justified is my new addiction. So nommy.

Have you seen Atame (Tie me up! Tie me down!) by Almodovar? Cool film - bit odd. Banderas kidnaps a porn star until she falls in love with him -- has probably one of the most heated scene i've seen in film, or at least remember seeing . . . maybe I was just young and easily shocked at the time.

300 - Leonidas's 'This is Sparta' shout
300- All battle scenes except the last one

Kingdom of Heaven - All battle scenes

King Arthur - all Battle and fight scenes

I agree but isn't this for love scenes, not the best scenes?
And you forget the ending of the dark knight rises.

These are my love scenes. Everyone is fighting for what they care about. I really hate romantic movies with a passion. So this is the best I got. bummers will get it.

My favourite film is Sister Act but it lacks any real love scenes.

But favourite movie scene ever has to be the one in Joyous Noise with Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton having a full on cat scrap. Now that is very sexy to watch. And hysterically funny.
