Humans As Three-Dimensional Creatures
I never thought to call you out
When you weren't what I would want
There are angels deep inside of us
Who look like demons from the front
Even all their heinous lies
That you oversimplify
But I'm sure you told a lie or two
That you thought was justified
I've always been the one to wonder
The motives of the sins they do
Would you believe it's only circumstance
That it was them, not you?
Sometimes even the villains
Have virtuous intentions
While heroes break the rules
And get the noble mention
You'd never want to sympathize
With murderers and thieves
They're only one-dimensional
There's nothing left to see
I'd never claim the high ground
Even saints can end up feeble
We're only mixed-and-matched morality
We're only ordinary people
