Blank verse?

This whole Nine and Sixty Ways thing seems fun, but for the life of me I couldn't get any ideas for blank verse so I just kinda rambled.

I have, it would seem, nothing much to say
But say I must, my words will pad the verse
And no live soul will see how blank you are
Til the joke is spoiled by explanation
Because most people wont get it, Im sure.

Rambling is fun... I used to try to talk in blank verse, just to get the hang of it.

MOM: Did you eat yet?
ME: (long pause) I think I did, but really can't be sure.
MOM: Well, do you want something now?
ME: (long pause) Something hot, or something cold is fine.
I can't decide without first looking in
the fridge and naming everything I see!
MOM: What?!

Eventually, I got quite good at it, but mastering a meter does not a poem make! It's just fun to practice, like what you did here. Then one day, you may sit to write a poem and feel the words coming in blank verse. The meter will flow, and you'll be able to concentrate on other aspects of the poem.

Have you ever tried a collaborative poem? Each person adds a line, and they try to make it all work together (as here). If you want, I think it'd be fun to give a blank verse collaboration a try. :)
