Ooo! Ooo! Tell us! Tell us Now!

Have you ever wondered certain things about the staff members of your Writer's Beat writing community?

Well, here's your chance to ask!

Go ahead: Ask! Post your questions here, and we'll compile five best-of-the-best questions, then each of us staff members will answer them in our own special way in the next issue of Writer's Beat Quarterly!

Now, don't you go and ask questions that are far too personal or offensive; we'll either delete them from the thread as disqualifications or we'll answer you in stupid, babbling gobbledy-gook, and wouldn't that be silly? (Staff reserves the right to decide what's what.)

So, go ahead: Ask away. Keep it clean and above-board, and we'll be happy to answer your cutely curious questions for you. :D

Question:
Why do you think book shops put Sci-Fi and Fantasy books in the same section, and do you think that's okay?

Mike C 05-24-2013 11:39 AM

Both are read by geeky teenage boys who don't like to walk too far.

Devon 05-24-2013 11:41 AM

No, No, Mike. You must frame that in the form of a question.

I mean: Frame that in the form of a question?

amberzak 05-24-2013 11:45 AM

I think he was trying to answer my question Devon. In a very stereotypical way I'd hasten to add

Devon 05-24-2013 11:45 AM

Oh, I know. I'm just being sarcastic. :p He's basically right, though. Lol!

Who else has a question for us? Or something for us to delete? Or muse about? Or shake our fists at?

K. Klein 05-24-2013 10:09 PM

What's the one thing most likely to make you throw a book [or other piece of writing] across the room and never pick it up again?

Devon 05-25-2013 01:44 AM

Ooo. Good question. Oh, I so have an answer for that. :D Lol!

Spuds 05-25-2013 05:03 AM

What was the biggest hurdle that you overcame while venturing into writing? How did you overcome it?

Devon 05-25-2013 05:04 AM

Another good one. :D

teenwriter 05-26-2013 04:08 AM

Was there a specific book that inspired you to start writing? If so, what was it?

Bagit 05-27-2013 03:31 AM

I've copied and pasted that one up for the competition. Thanks, Teenwriter!

Now keep them coming in! Make the choice for the winning five unbearably difficult for the staff! ;)

KyanderuEponine 05-27-2013 03:15 PM

I have a curious question: Since watching over such an awesome forum take some detailed dedication, how may mugs of coffee do you guys drink in a day? (forgive me for my sudden random rambling. ;) Coffee is a writer's cigarette after all)

Devon 05-27-2013 03:36 PM

Mwahahahahaha! I love that question.

KyanderuEponine 05-27-2013 03:46 PM

;) I blame my craving for that seductive beverage. Haha! XP

Devon 05-28-2013 01:58 AM

Me too! :D

Keep 'em coming, everyone! Remember: We'll select the best five of the bunch and answer them in the upcoming issue of WBQ, each in our own ways!

Mike C 05-29-2013 03:27 AM

How many inane questions have you been asked so far?

Devon 05-29-2013 04:03 AM

One. Yours. :D

Kidding.

Mike C 05-31-2013 04:10 PM

I know you're kidding - so far mine is the only one that isn't.

Oh, I got one, Devon:

What's your fave colour?

Firefly 05-31-2013 05:48 PM

Lol. Mike said "fave."

Devon 06-01-2013 02:12 AM

Ooo! Ooo! I have an answer for that!

. . . oh wait, no I don't. I see in black in white. Sorry. :(

FutureFootball 06-01-2013 02:42 AM

Who is your favourite Marvel super hero?

Devon 06-01-2013 02:51 AM

That's an interesting one . . . hmm . . . *puzzles*

Ha! Sounds like I'm being sarcastic. I'm not. Lol! :p

Redlorry 06-01-2013 03:49 AM

I love that one...

I need to start serious consideration of that before I answer. Better yet, I'll have to watch Avengers Assemble to help me choose. :D

I know who mine is. And it's definitely not the guy with the silly helmet.

Sorry, don't have any questions for you guys, not that are safe to post anyway. Just wanted to join in the chatter.

The Hulk??? :D

JK I know you like Jeremy Renner! ;)

tahdas 06-01-2013 03:02 PM

Linux, Mac or windows? And what version do you use?

Whose your favorite Batman villain?

Whose your favorite character in Archer, Arested Devolopment and firefly?

tahdas 06-02-2013 02:59 PM

How do you juggle modding and writing?

Haha, you know me well. I don't even like comic book heroes but I've watched Avengers twice just to see Mr Renner running around in that tight little outfit brandishing his bow and arrows. Lovely.

And hey, Mark Ruffalo didn't look too bad in green either.

P.S. I actually have a serious questuon for you guys. It's for those of you who're serious about your writing.

Do you have a back up plan for a creative outlet if you don't make anything of your writing? And if yes, what is it?

Mike C 06-03-2013 09:03 AM

Now that's a question.
